The VPR-5 was the smallest Type C 1" videotape recorder ever made. The mechanical design was created by Nagra, a company noted for its high-quality and small-size audio recorders often used for in-the-field recording of sound for motion pictures. Unfortunately, by the time the VPR-5 appeared, component camcorders were already taking over field video recording. |
