The 1/2” eight-track format found its way into production facilities on a budget, having the production capabilities of an eight-track environment but sacrificing the higher-quality sound attainable with the 1" eight-track available at the same time. Of the Tascam offerings, the 48 had the most professional features, including balanced input/output. |
